FIBERGLASS TRANSLUCENT SHEET INTRODUCTION

FRP Translucent Sheet is a kind of natural lighting product which is shaped through an automated machine, it is composed of on-soda fiberglass, reinforced polyester resin, high-performance, and anti-aging film(or get), and additives. Part 1 Fiberglass as base material takes up at least 95% of total weight of the compound. Thefiberglass is a decisive factor to the strength, tenacity, anti- aging capacity, size, shape and comfort.it is made up of 2/3 unsaturated resin, 1/3 fiberglass and some additive, We use most advancedDTM-1 unsaturated resin and lots of ultraviolet absorbent, which makes FRP sheet anti-aging, resistantto yellowing, low transmittance loss rate and long life-span.

Part 3 Reinforced line, lengthwise reinforced lines by 10mm spacing are distributed uniformly. Thisincreases lengthwise tensile strength greatly, 30% higher than same quality sheet without reinforced lines.

Part 4 External layer film treatment. Generally, Melinex 301 film provides the FRP material flexibility.

FRP SHEET INSTALLATION MUST PAY ATTENTION TO FOLLOWING

1. The waves of both sides of FRP should be lapped over color steel board. 

 2. A long waterproofing sticky belt should be installed on the outer side of longitudinal 

 lapping waves or wave crest. 

3. For crosswise lapping, lapping length is not less than 200mm. And waterproofing sticky 

 belt should be installed on two ends of lapping parts respectively. 

4. After setting fixing nails into waterproofing cushion ring, you may drive nails into purline 

 or fix support.

5. Suggest applying copper silicon glue on nail driving place. 

6. Suggest setting up U buckling strip if FRP assumes angle shape.

Final Period during Installation 

1. No crack and damage has occurred from fixing screw bolt or rivet. 

2. No damage has occurred from dropped heavy articles. 

3. No damage has occurred from accidental foot traffic. 

4. There’s no gap left at side or end laps of the FRP sheet. 

5. Remove all rarity from FRP sheet.

6. Made essential installation record as required by Building Regulation

Special Waterproofing Occasions: 

1. In some places, if rainwater accumulates on the roof surface, it may drip through the plate under strong wind 

power and seep in waterproofing flashing. Under such circumstance, special measures must be taken in time. 

2. It’s impossible that FRP sheet is processed into complicated curling shape to carry on lapping like color steel plate. 

Therefore, side waterproofing should be done with silicon glue or double wave crest lapping should be adopted. The

 following occasions probably lead to side water leakage. 

3. Under strong wind, if FRP sheet on low wave crest fractures, we advise you use waterproofing core plug to seal. 

 4. On the high spot of roofing, particularly on the terminal of the roof where there are such peaks as rails and parapet，

rainwater may accumulate in such places and overflow onto the rib of FRP sheet. 

5. For great span installation, when roofing withstands frequent vibration, the rainwater might deposit. In such case, 

double wave crest lapping, special side waterproofing cover plate or silicon glue for waterproofing should be taken into consideration.
